With A Friend

Legolas leaned against a tree alone. He closed his eyes and breathed in the fresh air. He loved the smell of silence.

Dahlia was riding on her house as she may have come to right place as she sees that she now enter a forest of Mirkwood which for sure she hope she is. She started to sing a soft sound,

She sang it for her bravery in the forest.

Legolas frowned and opened his eyes to see somebody riding in the forest. He looked closer and saw the familiar face. "Dahlia," he muttered. "What brings you down here?" he asked politely.

"You told me about the place and I just needed to get away from Gondor for awhile." Dahlia said.

Legolas raised an eyebrow. "For a while? Why would you need to take a leave for such a time?"

"It my father of course putting too much going on me." Dahlia said.

Legolas nodded in understandment. "Planning to stay in Mirkwood, are you?"

~If you'll allow me to stay.~ Dahlia said in elvish.

~Of course. You are always- ~

~I'm afraid that I won't allow it~ Iellwen approached the two of them from the shadows.

Legolas sighed. ~Have you already had the honour of meeting my sister?~

~I met her though the woods not long ago.~ Dahlia said.

Iellwen crossed her arms.

Legolas looked to Iellwen. ~Is this true?~

"It is," she said shortly.

Legolas snapped his hands behind his back and leaned into Iellwen. "Then why can she not stay here, sister?" he inquired with an edge of impatience in his voice.

"Because there is something not right about that human. Any child of that Steward is no good. Look at his two sons, that is proof of the bad blood," she hissed in his ear.

Legolas clenched his jaw. "She is a friend of mine. Show the courtesy of at least letting her stay the night," his voice was pleading.

Iellwen hesitated. "Fine, she may stay the night. But if she is not out of the fores by mid day, I will have her head planted on a spear," she said warningly.

Legolas smiled. "Dahlia, you are free to stay the night."

"Thank you, for letting me. But I would tell you I mostly not loved by my father. There is no different s between bad and good blood, it just the way of who we all are." Dahlia said.

~So should show me around?~ Dahlia asked Legolas.

Iellwen rolled her eyes. "Yes, Faramir isn't loved by his father either. Weak fools, the lot of you are," she said before turning on her heel.

Legolas looked back to Dahlia. "My apologies for her behaviour. She...isn't one for outsiders. Yes, I suppose I can show you around a bit."

I wanted to see Legolas first thing in the morning, It had been a while since I saw him or my sister.

"It alright, sometimes I deserve to hears the words. Then you shall get started showing around." Dahlia said.
